In the long campaign, you have to defeat one or two enemies, whereas in the long campaign you have to control at least 45 territories and one or two faction specific large cities. There are two types of campaign, long and short. During your turn, you move your armies, fleets, and/or agents around the map. Your mission is to conquer the other factions that you are up against to win. With an interesting, yet fun Campaign, you assume control of a faction of the time period to build a civilization, economically and militarily. A fun, strategic game that also gives you a nice history lesson as you play. It also advanced into the time period of the discovering of the Americas. This game is set between the years of 10 with the deals of the politics and religion set in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East during that time period. If you enjoy turned based gameplay, Medieval II: Total War is a great game for the fans of real time strategy games. This strategic game is real time with tactically oriented battles.
